Over the last few months, you may have seen our sales and conference teams out and about! Read a brief recap, or two, about a few of the conferences that we have recently attended or had a booth at!
Vantage ELITE
Last quarter, Jon Roscow, Commercial Director ROW, traveled from the UK to Vantage Vegas. This conference, the first event in a series since the split from Thomson Reuters has been very well received by the firms attending; FileTrail was onsite for engaged conversations and education.
Jon was able to attend a few sessions, and the main themes were “cloud without compromise”, “3e as a platform” and “better automation through Microsoft”. He believes these sessions resonated well with the audience onsite.
For partners, such as FileTrail, the Vantage Elite conference offers a more open architecture and commitment to better connectivity around the 3e platform, opens up even more exciting opportunities for FileTrail to help Elite clients manage their record and governance requirements more effectively moving forward.
FileTrail looks forward to attending further Vantage conferences in the future.
CLOC: North America
The annual CLOC event, North America, was a rousing success for FileTrail. With four staff members onsite, the early May event was held in Las Vegas, Nevada, and featured top-tier sessions and a large exhibit floor.
As part of that exhibit floor, FileTrail had a corner booth near the Exhibit Hall stage. And, as one FileTrail staffer, Meghan Bofenkamp, Chief Product Officer, wrote, post-event,

With many innovative sessions, strong booth traffic, and an engaged attendee base, FileTrail will certainly be back next year—and we are also pleased to be traveling to Australia this fall for CLOC APAC!
ARMA Canada
Fresh from Calgary, FileTrail’s Jasmin Sediqi, Director of Sales Operations, looks back on ARMA Canada:
ARMA Canada’s discussions highlighted the urgent need for a shift in terminology and engagement strategies within information governance to attract attention and funding, particularly from senior management and the C-suite. The term ‘records management’ often fails to secure necessary funding, whereas ‘data’ resonates more strongly, suggesting a strategic pivot from ‘records management’ to ‘data governance’ and ‘physical holdings governance.’ Additionally, there is a marked preference for replacing ‘management’ with ‘governance,’ which emphasizes strategic oversight and links IG to broader concerns such as legal risks and privacy within Enterprise Information Management.
However, a major challenge remains: demonstrating the value of IG, as professionals often feel ‘invisible.’ This underscores the need for communication that is specifically tailored to address the pain points and priorities of various seniority levels within different industries to secure project approvals and enhance engagement.
At FileTrail, we specialize in understanding and speaking the language of different levels of an organization, as this is our daily practice. Wait, there’s more!
Jon Roscow, attended Lexpo in Amsterdam early June, and then immediately left to head back to the UK for the Aderant user’s group meeting the very next day! Jon will be on the move even more this summer, and then will join our US team for ILTACON in August in Nashville.
Later this fall, our Austin-based team will head to Houston later this fall for ARMA’s INFOCON. This conference, focused solely on information governance, is sure to be one of the leading conferences of the season!
And last, but certainly not least: We’ll be at CLOC APAC in Australia this coming Fall too! Can’t wait to see our APAC and ANZ clients and friends!
