Strengthening Information Governance in 2023

Looking forward Information Governance 2023

Looking Forward with Optimism

In our last post on ‘Successful Records Management in 2023’, we noted the one-year anniversary of FileTrail’s acquisition of Teravine is this month. That transaction brought tremendous talent to our team and led to the development of our newest records management and information governance product suite, launched in October last year. The integrated platform combines the best of FileTrail’s previous governance policy suite and Teravine Provident software to offer a complete cloud-based platform.

With our newest products, FileTrail has already signed agreements with several law firms and corporations to replace their aging records management systems with our modern solutions. And we look ahead to the new year filled with optimism for our continued growth and success.

That growth begins immediately with the addition of our new Vice President of Product Management, Chad Foley. This new role was created to oversee FileTrail’s suite of records and IG solutions, serving as the bridge to connect clients and market needs with our product development and marketing teams. Combining all these perspectives is critical in moving our solutions forward, and Chad is the best person for the job. He joins us from NetDocuments, where he spent more than eight years leading teams of professionals and managing product and technology solutions.

Our product roadmap includes several key updates and new features that we’re excited to deliver this year, including the following:
• An enhancement to the existing connector with NetDocuments is expected to go live in March and improve tracking of metadata and document locus history. This will cater to all NetDocuments’ client industries, including corporate, legal, financial, and municipal.
• New functionality allowing FileTrail’s cloud solution to work with on-premises technologies, including iManage and file shares, is scheduled to go live in March. This will set the stage for further development of the strategy for additional on-prem repositories and databases.
• A consolidation of the connectors for FileTrail governance and records products is in progress, unifying the two connectors into one solution.

The FileTrail team looks forward to sharing more about these and other updates in the coming weeks and months in one-on-one meetings, local events, and upcoming conferences.

See you soon!
