Law Firm Information Lifecycle Management

November 10, 2022

11am EST

What are the currents trends, approaches, risks and opportunities of good Information Governance

One of the key trends that emerged from eSentio’s ‘Information Governance Maturity Survey’ this year was that pressures from both clients and regulators are forcing firms to pay more attention to information lifecycle management more than ever before. The survey also highlighted the fact that, while firms have worked hard to develop retention policies, they have not found it easy to implement these policies firmwide.

In this webinar Andrew Keller, eSentio’s Director of Information Governance and Harold Westervelt, CEO of FileTrail, will discuss the reasons for this, very real issues firms face around information lifecycle management, the risks and opportunities of bad and good information governance and outline how some firms are improving productivity, reducing costs and ensuring compliance through a combination of cultural change, communications and technology.

Topics

  • Key trends identified from eSentio’s Maturity Survey 2023
  • Why implementation, rather than simply the definition of policy, is getting more attention
  • What are the benefits of a fully implemented lifecycle management program
  • The risks in not doing so
  • Starting small v big bang
  • Moving to the Cloud and the negative value of legacy information
  • Moving from Policy to Process
  • The role of technology in driving compliance
